I have recently been pondering the world of ultra marathon running and the types of people who do it. In addition, I have also decided to share with this said community some of my own experiences and thoughts on what is fast becoming a mainstream sport.
I am the first to admit that I am not an expert or even an accomplished runner but more at home as someone who would feature at the front of the middle of the pack in races. On any given day I may get lucky and win the odd race or break a course record but most of the time I am happy to compete, make up the numbers and add my bit to the generous ultra running community.
